Welcome to Heart & Light Studio! I'm so glad you're here.
I'm a wife, mama to four wonderful boys, follower of Jesus, and the creative heart behind Heart & Light Studio. My family and I live on a little farm in Pennsylvania, where life is full of muddy boots, little-boy adventures, and the everyday joys (and chaos!) of raising a family.
I've always loved creating things. But more than that, I've always loved creating things that mean something—gifts that tell a story, celebrate a special moment, encourage someone's faith, or become a treasured keepsake for years to come.
That's really where Heart & Light Studio began.
A Longtime Dream Come True
For as long as I can remember, I've wanted to create children's books.
I've always loved the way a simple story can capture a child's imagination, teach an important truth, or become part of a family's most cherished memories. As a Christian and a homeschooling mom, I'm especially passionate about sharing the love of Jesus and the beautiful truths of Scripture with little ones.
For years, creating my own children's books felt like a dream I didn't quite know how to accomplish. I had the ideas and the stories in my heart, but not necessarily the artistic skills or resources to bring them to life the way I envisioned.
Then, as creative technology continued to develop, that began to change.
With the help of modern design tools, digital illustration, and AI-assisted technology, I finally found a way to turn those ideas into something tangible. What once felt out of reach became possible, and I couldn't be more thankful for the opportunity to do something I've wanted to do for so long.
Thoughtfully Created, From My Heart to Your Home
Every book and design begins with an idea.
Sometimes it's inspired by my own children, a favorite Bible passage, a meaningful family milestone, or simply the thought of creating something that might bring joy to another family.
From there, I begin writing, planning, illustrating, and designing. I carefully develop the stories, create and refine the artwork using a combination of creative tools and AI-assisted technology, and bring everything together into a finished book.
There is a lot of trial and error, adjusting little details, rewriting sentences, and making sure the finished product feels just right!
One of my favorite parts of the process is personalization. I love the thought of a child opening a book and discovering their own name woven into the story. There's something so special about creating a gift that feels like it was made just for them—because it was!
While many of my books are inspired by my Christian faith, you'll also find stories and keepsakes celebrating childhood, family, and life's sweetest moments.
My hope is that every creation brings a little more beauty, meaning, and light into someone's home.
A Little Help Behind the Scenes
Although Heart & Light Studio began as my personal creative dream, I don't do everything alone!
I'm blessed to have my wonderful assistant, April, working alongside me. She helps with so many of the behind-the-scenes details that keep this little business running—from preparing designs and managing listings to helping bring new products to our customers.
Having her help allows me to spend more time doing what I love most: dreaming up new ideas, writing stories, and creating meaningful products for families.
We're a very small team, but we put a lot of heart into what we do!
Why Heart & Light?
The name Heart & Light Studio reflects what I hope this business will always be about.
Heart—because I believe the best gifts come from a place of love, thoughtfulness, and genuine care.
Light—because my faith in Jesus is at the center of my life, and I hope that, in some small way, the things I create can reflect His love and truth.
I don't know exactly where this little business will lead, but I'm grateful that God has given me the opportunity to combine my love for creativity, storytelling, and faith in this season of life.
